1. Open the console compartment.

2. Remove the console trim plate by gently prying it upward to disengage the
retainers.
3. Unfasten the retaining screws, then remove the console.
4. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
Sunfire
See Figure 2
1. Remove the shift control handle by unfastening the retaining clip and lifting
the handle off.
2. Lift off the shift lever boot.
3. Remove the console compartment liner.

4. Unfasten the four retaining screws, then remove the console from the
vehicle.
5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
