Investment Strategy
What strategy did your team use?
Our team strategy was quite moderate. Upon doing our research on different companies, news, and stocks
was how we decided to invest. If we found that one of our stocks had been going down due to the company
having some major downfall that would dramatically affect them for a long period of time, we would sell it
to be safe. We didnt take the risk of waiting to see if some how the stock magically went up. Like with
IBM, the stock had been going down due to the companys transition to cloud and rivaling competitors, we
decided to sell all of our shares of said stock. If we found that a stock was doing well and the companys
plans and reputations were all positive, we would invest in it. For example, when we saw that Warner Bros.
was releasing all these new films and projects, some of which we even heard various people in our everyday
lives talking about, we then decided to invest in the stock.

Investment Strategy
What types of stocks did you focus on?
We didnt have an exact type of stock that we focused on. Our portfolio varies from technology and filmmaking companies to
pharmaceutical and car fabricating companies. In our opinion, it is best to always have a little bit of everything as you can
benefit way more through not focusing on an specific type of stock. Not focusing on an specific type of stocks definitely added
to our moderate strategy as we simply sold a burden and bought a lifter in matters of seconds.

Was your investment strategy conservative, moderate, or speculative? Why?

Our investment strategy was definitely a bit conservative but a bit more moderate. We preferred to stick to the safe side. Being our first
experience with the stock market, we doubted we should take any big risks. Our research and predictions truly helped to guide us through
that moderateness. We enjoyed discussing things with the whole team until we all agreed that we should walk down a path that would
give us a better stock security.

Big News:
Warner Bros. recent success is mostly due to the recent films that are being produced or shown in theaters, which are greatly expected by the public. These movies
include Suicide Squad, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Batman vs. Superman, as well as rumors of a movie featuring Harley Quinn.
Soo Koo, who used to be the Vice President of Creative for Fashion and Home at Disney, quit his job to join Warner Bros. He will be in charge of creating and
innovating the products sold on the Market. Koo is also known to have partnerships with Forever 21, Vans, Stella McCartney, Sephora and Marc Jacobs.
72% of the analyst that were assigned to cover this stock declared that, currently, the company has a buy position, due to its positive increase in worth.

Big News
-

About a year ago, Costco and American Express announced that they would be ending their 16 year partnership. Soon after this was announced,
American Expresss stock dropped over 6%. Paying with a credit card, has proven to shoppers to offer more flexibility and convenience. Thus, this year,
as Costco announced its new partnership with Visa, there was a growth in the stock price for both parties.
It was revealed that Costcos success allowed it to become one of the top global retailers in 2015 with sales of over $114 billion. Even though this does
not compare to the $500 billion earned by Walmart, Costco accomplished this through much less locations.
It was also revealed that Costco has over 83 million cardholders worldwide, equalling to about 45 million households.

Big News

The company has been successful in the results of their Phase 2 clinical study VYXEOS liposome injection to fight against leukemia. Their
medicine has elongated the lives of patients for more than 4 months, showed an outstanding performance and proved to be extremely effective!

The stock has had much funding, and has raised $40.6 million in oversubscribed stock offerings, which they plan to put into sales and
marketing. Also, it has a valuable view and it looks to become successful in a $900 million potential market. Also, CPXX has a pretty high beta,
but in a positive way. Once, it even fluctuated positively by 400%, something which was appealing to us!

CPXX also had much stock activity. On April 18, Celator Pharmaceuticals traded 1.3 million shares and rose more than 30% from its original
value. It had a very efficient and very solid time, growing very well.

Overall Reflection
BEST DECISIONS
One of our best decisions was probably focusing
on various branches. This was helpful because if,
for any reason, one of the branches would fail,
the other ones would still bring money into our
group. For example, while the technology sector
wasnt very sharp or helpful, the medicine branch
was one of the main reasons our group was able
to gain much of our money. For example, Celator
Pharmaceuticals has been able to advance in
their investigation for a cure or a more effective
treatment for leukemia, which made their worth
increase drastically. Our strategy included not

betting or risking all of our money in one simple company

because, as we may all know, the stock market can be
unpredictable. Last but not least, our commons sense had a
lot to do with our recent success. If the decrease of a stock
value was minimal, or research showed it was temporary,
then we would decide, as a team, to hold on to it and wait
for further results.

Worst Decisions
Some of our worst decisions was trying to invest in a mutual fund. We invested
in Vanguard S&P 500, which contained many technology based blue chip
companies such as: Apple, Microsoft, Amazon etc., which didnt do well since
the technology section of the Stock Market went downhill. After seeing such
results, we rapidly sold the stock we had, but we had already lost some money.
However, we were able to rapidly gain in back by buying more stock of the
successful companies we had already bought.
In addition, we also spent a lot of money right away at the beginning, which
resulted in having not much money at the end. Despite this, we were able to
make up for it by investing in excellent stocks, including inexpensive stocks
from profitable companies, such as Celator Pharmaceuticals. This way, we
were able to acquire money and keep investing. Overall, even though this were
our biggest mistakes out of all, we were able to overcome it, thanks to our
moderate investment strategy: staying more on the safe side.

What We Did Well

What we did well was that we had a strong sense of teamwork, and
that we constantly worked together to achieve our goals. We spoke
things through, asked for each others opinions before making
decisions, and even made a group chat to talk about it after school!
We also worked hard, diligently doing our research, completing SMG
meetings, and doing all that was assigned to us concerned to this.
Another thing we did well was that we were strategic, and although
we decided to experiment with some new things at the end, we kept
to our aggressive strategy all the way. We kept loyal to our ways and
constantly kept diversifying our portfolio, trying not to make
something overbalance the other. We were also analytical and we
examined our stocks carefully before buying them.
