Singapores public healthcare institutions?
Contact Singapore presents this opportunity for a short-term (about a week) observational attachment
(unpaid) with one of the public healthcare institutions in Singapore, during your summer break from
December 2016 to February 2017.
This opportunity is open to overseas Singaporeans who are currently pursuing medical studies in their
pre-clinical years. As the number of positions in each healthcare institution is limited, this opportunity
is subject to the availability of vacancies and supervision, and the approval of the Head of the
respective clinical department. Students who have already applied directly to the healthcare institution,
need not apply with us.

Please note:

The participating institutions are Changi General Hospital, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Ng Teng Fong
General Hospital.

For students who have applied directly to the healthcare institution, please refrain from applying with us,
so as to avoid duplicate applications.

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified directly by the respective hospitals.


The healthcare institutions may take 1-2 months to process the application after the closing date.
Please submit a copy of your CV as per sample template in the Annex.

Your CV will be sent to your first choice healthcare institutions that you have indicated, and thereafter
your second choice if the vacancy of your first choice institution were full. Eventual placement (if any)
may or may not correspond to the areas of specialty indicated.

Shortlisted candidates may be required to:


a) complete the application form issued by the respective hospital

b) produce some form of support letter and insurance sponsorship by your university
c) undergo some form of medical examination
If granted the attachment opportunity, please take the commitment seriously and refrain from withdrawing
or re-scheduling, unless you have a valid reason.
