    As this is day 1 and my timber was slightly delayed I discussed methods of creating my
    project with my mentor. Once this was completed I prepared any timber I had at that
    current point in time. Once I completed this my mentor wanted to see my current skill
    level in wood turning and creating bowls. He then gave me scrap timber and asked me
    to create practice bowls before I begin creating my own in the upcoming days.
    Today my mentor monitored my techniques during my wood turning practices. He
    then gave me tips on what I can do to increase my performance and also improved
    my mistakes in what I was doing the wrong way if issues occurred. Also he showed
    me the right tools for certain jobs that are better suited for my project depending on
    the way I plan to manufacture my bowl.

    Internship outcome

    This activity impacted my internship in a positive way. It provided me with practice


    before I commence my actual project. This is helpful because I can avoid mistakes
    when it comes to creating my final project. This activity also gave me a refresher
    on some on my skills and showed me new ones with new techniques.
