CONTENT
Content
A literature review is an account of what has been published on a topic by accredited
scholars and researchers. It conveys what knowledge and ideas that have been established on a
topic, and what their strengths and weaknesses. It is not just a descriptive list of the material
available, or a set of summaries.

A. One Sentence Summary (Collaborative)(Remembering)
The students will be asked to write a summary sentence that answers the WHAT,
WHEN and WHY questions about the topic meaning of review of related
literature.

DAY 2

The class will have a review of the past activities and of concepts of the Review of
Related Literature.

A. Who said That?(Collaborative Work)(Remembering)


The teacher will group the class into two (2) then give two sets of cards, one set for
each group. One set will contain quotations and the other set will contain the names
of those who said this quotations.
The cards will be distributed to the members of the group.
The group holding the cards with quotation will read the quotation and the group
with the names of the authors will rise if the quotation matches to the name of the
author he/she is holding.
Paste the cards on the board.

They will be tasked to visit the schools Library
Prepare samples of referencing assigned to them
Present a rubric which will serve as a tool for assessing their work.

A. Group Presentation of Task (Collaborative work)
The students will present the task assigned to them in class.
B. Peer Assessment
The students will assess the work of their classmates based on the rubrics given
to them.
They will give their score after the group had presented their work.
Teacher will give his/her own feedback regarding the result of the task.

Share the answer in class.
Review of related literature happens in two ways: (1) _____ and systematic review.

Prepare a review of related literature, a topic of your choice, following the proper
citation or referencing and observing the ethical standards.
F. Concept- Learning Assessment (Evaluating)
In a brief reflective essay, express how much you understand the concepts about the
review of related literature in a quantitative research. Specify which ideas sank into
your mind or came to your understanding excellently, moderately, slightly, poorly, or
emptily.
