Describing a Process
The diagram below shows the stages and equipment used in the cementmaking process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building
purposes.

Cement Production.
How to make cement is quite complicated. Firstly, the limestone and clay
are crushed together through a crusher. They then become powder and
pass through a mixer where they thoroughly mixed together. Next, the
powder was heated by a rotating heater. The heat was induced at the end
of the heater where the powder comes out. After this, the heated power
was grinded through a grinder. During this process, it becomes cement
and lastly, the cement powder was packed into a bag and it is all done.
Concrete Production
To make a concrete production, the process is much simpler than the
cement production and we do not need any heater. Only Four important
ingredients and one mixer are needed. Here is the simple proportion: 15%
of cement, which we already know how to do it from above, 1o% of water,
25% of sand, and 50% of gravel (small stones). In the next stage, they are
poured and mixed together in a rotating concrete mixer and then, the
concrete is done, ready to use for building.
