Instruction of the Coordinate Data Communication Software
(MPE 822R/825R Total Station)
Summary: This software (MPE_CMO V1.0.exe) could be used for data communication between the MPE 822R/825R Total Station and the PC. Functions includes: sending and receiving coordinate data, receiving survey data and data file, opening and saving files (into variable formats), and editing files. A. Installation Click MPE_COM V1.0 setup.exe to install the software on your PC. Please establish connection between the computer and the total station through the serial port before run this software. Make sure the series baud rate of the total station is 1200.
B. Data Download from Total Station to PC
(1). Cable Connection: Connect the communication interface with the serial interface such as interface 1(com1) on the PC and then start this software on the PC after checking. (2). The operation on the PC (After starting this software): If you choose communication interface, such as serial interface1 (com1), the com1 should be selected. Select ConnectCoordinate Data Receive button, and the PC will be in the state of receiving and waiting. (3). The operation on the Total station: a).Power on the instrument. b). Operate the total station referring to Manual, select the coordinates data file that you want to send, press ENT to send Then the Total station begins to transfer the measured data to the PC. The PC will display the measured data after the transfer is over.
C. Data Upload from PC to Total Station
(1). Cable Connection: Connect the communication interface with the serial interface such as interface 1(com1) on the PC and then start this software on the PC after checking. (2). The operation on the Total station: a). Power on the instrument. b). Operating the total station, choose a data file, press "ENT" to get ready to receive.
(3). The operation on the PC (After starting this software):
Running the communication software, then open the file that you want to send. If you choose communication interface, such as serial interface1 (com1), the com1 should be selected. Select ConnectCoordinate Data Send button to send file to Total Station.
D. Notes: (1) Sometime, due to communication handshaking unsuccessful, the communication will fail. Please cancel it, and repeat the steps again.
