Reflective Writing

Reflect:

A reflective writing is required for each stage of the practicum, one referred to the Observation period of
the practicum, one related to Team Teaching stage and one for the teaching stage. See next page

Tell what you learned, your insights, and your 'aha's'. How did you grow?
Tell what you now believe (your philosophy).
Write the questions you still have and explore possible answers.
Write about other perspectives you now see.
Tell what actions you will take as a result of new learning. What are your next steps
(goal-setting)?

Example:

Note: Reflection is thinking about and learning from experience. Reflective practice is the practice or
habit of reflection. Regular reflection on practice leads to the improvement of practice for professionals
(Brown, 2002; Dewey, 1933; Palmer, 1998; Schon, 1994; Schwartz, 2005).

D. Reports
The following reports are requested only in one of the two classes you did the
practicum.
a) Teachersmeeting (Consejo de profesores)
b) Parentsmeeting (Reunin de apoderados)
c) Class discussion time ( Consejo de Curso)

E. Unit plans and lesson plans

In this section you are requested to attach the lesson plans indicated below. This
assignment includes both classes in which you taught.
a) First lesson plan of the unit
b) Star lesson plan of the unit
Note: Apart from attaching the corresponding lesson plans, please explain briefly
what were the expected objectives and the number of them actually accomplished.
If you want you can use percentages. For example: Objective N 1: 75%
accomplished.

F. Learning material
Please attach written and /or audio material used in your classes. If you want you
can also attach the links and websites visited.
