Future Business Leaders of America Officer Responsibilities

Responsibilities of all FBLA Officers

Be informed about FBLA - know its pledge, goals, colors, etc.


Develop a personal program of work.
Work closely with advisers on planning activities.
Attend all meetings.
Be cooperative and dependable.
Represent FBLA well and be an example to other members with well grooming, good
manners, proper speech, and promptness.
Work closely with other officers, committee chairmen, and other members.
Be diplomatic and democratic when working with others.

President

Presides over and conducts meetings.


Keeps members on the subject and
the subject within a time limit.
Appoints committees.
Leads school events and before outof-school organizations.
Coordinates chapter activities by
keeping in close touch with the other
officers, the members, and the
advisers.
Calls meetings as needed.

Vice President

Assists the president in the discharge


of duties.
Presides at meetings in the absence
of the president.
Is prepared to assume the duties and
responsibilities of the president
should the need arise.

Parliamentarian
Watches for significant irregularities
in procedure meetings and calls them
to the attention of the presiding
officer.
Is prepared to explain any
irregularity and its effect on the
rights of chapter members.
Sits next to the presiding officer so
that quiet and pertinent consultation
can take place as needed.
Senator

Secretary

Prepares and reads the minutes of


meetings.

Assists the president in preparing the


agenda for each meeting.
Sends out and posts meeting notices.
Counts and records votes when
taken.
Maintains accurate membership roll.

Reaches out to the student body and


involves them in club activities.
Coordinates club activities and
events.
Helps to keep students informed on
the occurring events of the club.
