Activities
Registration for the participants started. Participants came from Minglanilla, San
Fernando, Barili, Sibonga, Argao, Dalaguete, Alcoy, Boljoon, Oslob, Santander and
Samboan slowly settled down and looked for their respective places.
The program started with the presentation of the speakers and trainers from the
Division office and MAPEH trainers from other schools. After the introduction was
the warm up exercise to prepare the physical fitness of the participants. After which,
the trainer started the workshop proper by teaching us the fundamental steps in
dancing.
When the participants mastered the fundamental steps, the trainers taught us dances
appropriate for Grade 1, which was Inday Ling, and Grade 2, which was
Alitaptap
Teachers had their chance to take a break and have their lunch

The afternoon session started with a review of the fundamental steps and the two folk
dances from the morning session. After the review followed the teaching of the folk
dances appropriate for Grade 3 which was Kunday Kunday and Rabong, Grade
5 which was Cariosa, and Grade 6 which was Polka sa Nayon.

Before the first day of seminar ended, there was review of all the dance steps. After
all the dances were reviewed, a cool down exercise was done to avoid muscle pain.
