I have created this manual due to me experience only, with help and

Ubuntu 10.4 for EMC2 installation, installing EMC2, configure and
testing EMC2.
This guide created to help some guys like me who like runing Ubuntu / EMC2 and not any windows
version, i can say that most of the useful softwares will run under windows platform and not Linux.so
keep that in mind

In case you will need to revert the CNC movement uncheck the ESTOP Out

If you r using the original Bluumax CNC set the Table Travel
Related to those settings:
Test your Axis by using the log right and left for flawless motion

http://www.bluumaxcnc.com/Gantry-Router.html
Travel with 16"x 24" table (Cut area 12" x 17")
Z travel 2" with 3 adjustable heights.
Check this to learn about Home and + and some other samples.

Apply and save our setting

Now you need to start testing
After you know how to move your Axis left and right, up and down, you can change the direction of any
of them in the first parallel setting.
You are ready for the first test

Part 6 run first test

When done with configuration files the wizard will create folder with your Mill profile related to the
configuration you have applied , meaning you can create many configuration files related to your needs
instead of reconfigure the same file.
Now click your Mill (launch my-mill) and test the axis.ngc startup file, this is done by:
press F1 to relesa "Toggle Emergancy Stop"
press F2 "Toggle Machine Power"
now the "manual controle" features will be available - you will need to set all Axis to home before start.
after all Axis are at home you will be able to run the program.

now that your CNC is running you will have a lot of Q, what i am going to do next, from ware to start,
what is G-Code , what is DXF file, Dwg, cb, CamBam,what is CAD, CAM ....etc
i can recommend for some fine sites , forums to start with:
start with http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bluumax/ in case you have any Q issue related to you CNC.
http://www.linuxcnc.org/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,20/lang,english/
http://www.cncinformation.com/
http://www.cnczone.com/
and there are a lot more.
most of the above are from bluumax Yahoo Group, other from articles on the web.
hope i have help a bit.
