Distinguished officers and members of the MRPO, Ladies and
Gentlemen, good morning! Having recently assumed as Deputy Director for Administration of this Group, I learned that you had been so fully supportive in all our undertakings and fight against criminality especially Kidnapping-forRansom. It is an opportune time to renew contacts and commitment on mutual interest that binds us together. Functioning only as an ad hoc group, I praise your efforts in aiding numerous families that were victimized and traumatized by kidnap-forransom groups. MRPO continues to exist as crimes have become more cruel, more brazen, more senseless and more despicable.
As crimes have become more cruel, the popular phrase Dutertes
change is coming has begun and his term would be a bloody one as he would go after criminals. For justice to triumph, it requires great effort. Like most government agencies, AKG is struggling to cope with budget and personnel constraints. Despite these shortages, we remain with our commitment to continue working with our stakeholders to reduce KFR incidents in the community. And this is most important thing, we want the best support from each other and the best performance in order to strike our target. More than a decade ago, we wove together, continued to work together and hammered out a common goal towards peace and security. None was started by one person. We did it all together. All kidnapping activities will have a day of reckoning. In the end, the message of peace and justice will triumph over those who seek evil. It's going to be through collaboration of pairs of hands of all stakeholders waving their passion to build a safer place to move up in life. I believe that our partnership is about knowing you're not alone and that we are in this together.
Again, I welcome you all to this humble home of AKG.
