Abstract
Deposition in estuaries Bengawan Solo is a natural phenomenon that occurs due to
sedimentation. In rainy season, the river Bengawan Solo flowing enough to bring the
material sediment to the estuary without being influenced tides into the river. The shape
of river delta on Bengawan Solo river estuary has been changed through the
dissemination of sedimentation all of the years. The material of sediment on estuary is
different.
This proposed paper is emphasized better understand the characteristics of the
sediment material on the estuary of the Bengawan Solo river. The sediments grain size
distribution, sediment soil properties classification and sediments velocity deposition are
investigated in the laboratory.
Key words: Material of sediment and sedimentation on the estuary.
