Subtracting greater
numbers with or without
regrouping is the main focus
of Chapter 4. Students
learned the part-whole
concept, and the addition and
subtraction of numbers up
to 1,000. In this chapter, this
concept is extended to
numbers up to 10,000.

Science
The students are excited to begin
learning about Plant Growth &
Development. The class will plant
and care for their own Brassica
rapa plants. They will observe,
describe, and record changes in
their plants, measure and record
the growth of plants, and read
to learn more about plants.
