AMS Morning Announcements

Help a Foster Child in Need!
6th grader Tiara Simonton and her mom are collecting
donations for foster children. If you have any lightly used or
new backpacks, shoes, clothes, toys, and books, please
donate them by dropping them off at the table in the
pick-up loop before or after school on Friday September
30th. All donations will go to foster children in our
community.

Holiday Boutique at Adams!


The Hive Productions Club presents its 2nd Holiday
Boutique at Adams! Come shop from dozens of vendors
and enter to win one of many prizes! Clothing, Jewelry,
Home Decor, Purses & Totes, Paintings, Halloween and
Christmas Decor, Makeup and Skin Care, Books and so
much more! Friday, October 28th from 4:30-7:30 in the
Theatre. Entry is FREE!

Halloween Dance
Mark your calendars! The Halloween Dance will be Friday,
October 28th from 5:00-7:00pm in the gym. Get your
costumes ready! Remember, you CANNOT have masks,
blood, or weapons as part for your costume. Permission
slips will be available when we return from break!There will
be a DJ, snacks, and games! Dont miss out!!

The Brain Games!


In The Brain Games, teams of 5-7 students compete by
grade level in a series of fun, problem-solving challenges,
puzzles and games. No practice or preparation is
necessary. This isnt an academic event that requires
prior knowledge of certain subjects or facts. Instead,
students are challenged on the spot to think outside the
box as they build, solve and create in this unique,
multi-district event. Lets show off our spirit and pride!!
The Brain Games will be October 22nd at Heritage High
School from 11am-1pm. See flyer on page 2 for more info!

Library Books Due!


ALL Library books are due back the day you return from the
Fall Break!!!! No exceptions! If youre finished with them,
return them today!!!

Elective Wheel Rotations Starting Quarter 2


BoxTops for Education
Were collecting BoxTops for Education where the proceeds
will benefit the library to purchase new books and videos!
They are the little pink, purple and white coupons on food
boxes and cans. We earn 10 cents for each one we save.
When everyone turns them in, it adds up! The Advisory
class who brings in the most coupons over 625 (quarterly)
will earn a Donut and Juice Party. Bring them in on the
BoxTop Collection Sheet, in a baggie or envelope and given
to your Advisory Teacher (due by the end of each month).
Will your class be the top collectors?
TUPE stands for Tobacco Use Prevention Education
At each school throughout our county and many others
student led groups are forming to reduce the number of
lives lost due to tobacco and nicotine based products.
Perhaps you are interested in this cause as well because you
have a family member that has used or currently uses a
nicotine based product or because you believe in this cause?
Mrs. Dalldorf is looking for students from 6th
, 7th
, & 8th
grade
to join this club. Meetings will occur twice a month during
lunch b or directly after school. Please have your advisory
teacher e-mail your name to Mrs. Dalldorf if you are
interested. Also did you know that you should Stop Calling
It Vapor!
E-cigarettes, also referred to as vapes, vape pens,
e-hookahs, and mods, heat e-liquid that generally
contains nicotine, flavorings, additives, and propylene
glycol. The e-liquid becomes an aerosol, not just water
