SUMMARY
Software Engineer bringing 11-year experience in software development on IP networking.
Focus on OAM (Operations, administration, and management), Model Driven Development, and
Auto-generation/automation. Also bring in good understanding packet processor ASICs
adaptation, software forwarding, and routing protocols. Known for rapid prototyping skills,
passion to learn new technologies, excellent troubleshooting skills.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ericsson
San Jose, CA, 2014-Present
Beijing, China, 2010-2014
The company offers services, software and infrastructure for telecommunications operators, Internet
Protocol (IP) networking equipment, mobile and fixed broadband.

To support for the XML-based NETCONF network management protocol for IP Stack, it has prompted
the need for a model-based Infrastructure for both NETCONF/CLI access. Led an Agile cross-

functional team of 7 intermediate-to-senior engineers, design and develop Model based

Infrastructure for next generation OAM. Prototype and refined new declarative modeling language
(C-like) that helps configuration/information retrieval validation of data types, range,
cardinality, inheritance, reference. Define JSON Model Mapping Schema between YANG
and internal model that auto generated C code to significantly reduce replication for different
features. Enabled non-OAM engineer to quickly develop business logic.
To support model driven CLI (CLI commands, help text, hierarchy is generated dynamically
based on model) for IP stack, develop proto-type (transform information model into
intermediate format, parsed by auto-generated C code), with a goal to replace over 100K
lines of hand-written C-code.
As the receiving system engineer liaison of large-scale IP Stack OAM transfer project from
Hungary/Canada to China, be the first one to understand IPOS OAM (CLI, SNMP,
NETCONF) software architecture/system design, facility competence builds up in China for

teams of 50 engineers by preparing and presenting OAM Architecture training, authoring

design documents and proposing technical improvements, and clarify backlog priority. Team
became productive and developed new features in 3 months.

To support NETCONF for ERS IP Stack (based on Zebos), design and develop the OAM
plugin framework, enable 3 cross-functional teams of 30+ engineers to develop multiple
feature in parallel, and enable first release delivery on-time with quality.
To speed up development and reduce HW dependency for one of Ericsson IP Stack (based
on Zebos), design and develop Virtualization Platform support software forwarding for
routing/switching develop/test based on Linux and simplified build using Yocto/bitbake
technologies, saving $1M in project costs.
To support Italy system test of Ericsson Transport OS (ETOS) first release, led a team of 10
senior engineers and travel to Italy for three months. Coordinate all the technical related
business of the testing, initial trouble report analysis, hot issue diagnosis and tracking,
interfacing with teams from different sites, propose solution to meet aggressive timeline.

Alcatel-Lucent, Beijing, China

2008-2010
The company is the leading IP networking, ultra-broadband access, and cloud technology specialist.

To support Parlary X(standard Web service APIs)/RESTful API for ISG (Intelligent Service
Gateway), design and implement Multimedia Messaging service based on Apache Tomcat.
Build full understanding of the functionality, perform diagnosis, reverse engineer 3rd party
libraries and traced through all related source code to solve integration issue.

H3C, Beijing, China

2005-2008
Formally 3Com which was acquired by Huawei. It is fully committed to the research & development,
production, sales, consulting and services of New IT products and solutions.

To support new Broadcom XGS Packet processor ASICs on Ethernet L2/L3 Switches as a
contributor to design and develop Hardware Adaptation Layer between IP Stack and SDK
Became the team leader in 1 year by quickly learning related L2/L3 protocols end to end
from IP Stack to ASIC, perform debug, isolate issue, identify area, be the first contact for test
team.
