1. Prepare a Context Diagram and Level 0 DFD for the Restaurant Information System
When requested by the restaurant manager, a management report is produced by the restaurant system that
specifically draws the daily goods sold amounts from the goods sold DB and the daily inventory depletion amounts
from the inventory DB. The report is forwarded by the system electronically to the restaurant manager. The
manager then emails this report to the CEO at corporate headquarters.

2. Prepare a Context Diagram and Level 0 DFD for the Restaurant Information System
A.
The customer walks into a fast food restaurant and approaches the counter, the customer provides his or her name
and the name of the items desired to the counter employee. The counter employee enters this information into the
computer which transforms this information into a food order number that is sent to the kitchen to be prepared and
provides the customer with a receipt. After the customer order is received the counter employee records this
transaction by updating data in the goods sold DB and inventory DB. The customer picks up his/her order at the
adjacent counter then seeks medical attention shortly thereafter.
B.
Using a drive through kiosk, the customer provides his or her name and the name of the items desired. The system
transforms this information into a food order number that is sent to the kitchen to be prepared and provides the
customer with a receipt. After the customer order is received the system records this transaction by updating data in
the goods sold DB and inventory DB. The customer drives up to pick up window where an employee gives them
their food with the obligatory smile.
