On October 4, 2016 at approximately 7:44 p.m. the Oxford Police
Department and Oxford Fire Department were dispatched to 210 N. Campus
Ave. for a reported shooting. Oxford Police officers with the assistance of
Miami University Police officers arrived on scene to find two (2) victims with
non-life threatening gunshot wounds to their legs. The first victim was
transported to McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital where he was treated and
released and the second victim was transported to West Chester Hospital.
It was reported to arriving officers that two male suspects came to the house
to complete a prior arranged sale of a vehicle. During that transaction one
suspect pulled out a firearm and fired three rounds at the victims. The
suspects then fled the area in an unknown direction with an undetermined
amount of cash.
The two (2) male suspects are described as:
Suspect #1 White, male, dark complexion, approximately 510, 150 lbs.
Suspect #2 Black, male, dreadlock style hair, approximately 511, 190 lbs.
Preliminary investigation indicates that this offense was not a random act
and that the victims were specifically targeted.
If you have any information on this crime please contact Det. Sgt. David King
