Welcome Kevin Hines as the keynote speaker! Kevin is a suicide prevention and mental health advocate. His
unlikely story of survival will be moving, inspirational and informative.
Learning outcomes for this program are:

Learn from experts about local, state and national epidemiology research about the prevalence of
suicide.

Explore the myths, risk factors and warning signs of suicide along with evidence-based interventions
with an emphasis on children and young adults.

Target Audience:
This seminar is intended for nurses, counselors, social workers, students and any health care professional.
Accreditation and Contact Hours:
Waukesha County Technical College is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin
Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on
Accreditation.
Participation awards will be provided to all conference participants who attend the entire program. This program is
being offered for 5.5 contact hours.
