Beret Band
Using the smaller needle size cast on 80 (88) stitches being carefully not to twist the stitches, join for
working in the round. *k1, p1* repeat from * until end of round. Work this ribbing for 8 rows.
Increasing row: *m1k, k1, m1k, k1* repeat from * until end of round 160 (176) stitches

Work Chart B one time.
Round 1: k1 and slip knitted stitch to right needle *yo, sl, k2tog, psso* repeat from * to end of round
Round 2: knit
Round 3: k2tog until end of round 20 (22) stitches
Round 4; knit
Round 5: k2tog until end of round - 10 (11) stitches
Round 6: k2tog until end of round, (K2tog 5times, k) - 5 (6) stitches
Round 7: k2tog, k2tog, k1 (k2tog until end of round) 3 stitches
Work I-cord for 1inch (2,5cm). Cut yarn leaving a tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches, starting at
opposite end to where the yarn is attached and pull tight to close. Weave tail through the I-cord and
secure to wrong side of beret.
Finishing
Weave in all loose ends. Block beret over a plate with desired diameter.
