FIELD TRIP REPORT FORMAT

1. Give the report a TITLE that describes the theme of the field trip.
2. The report should have an Introduction at the beginning and a Conclusion or Summary and the end
to provide organizational structure.
3. The body of the report should focus on three things:

Accurate descriptions of what you observed on the trip, in your own words (be specific).

Clear explanations of the scientific concepts and principles illustrated by what you observed.

An explanation what you found scientifically valuable and informative about the trip, in your
own words.

4. Length: About 350 - 500 words will be appropriate, although I am far more interested in clarity of
writing and accuracy of concepts than in length per se
5. EACH LAB IS DUE THE FOLLOWING WEEK
