Background
Population growth, changes in consumption patterns and lifestyles of society that increase
the amount of landfill waste, types and characteristics of trash diversity. By the rising purchasing
power of the various kinds of staples and results of technology and also increased efforts or
activities supporting economic development in a region also as substantial contribution towards
the quantity and quality of waste generated. Trash is a material that does not have value for daily
activities or major in fabrication processes (Astriani 2009). According to another definition,
trash is all materials discharged from household activities, trade, industry and many agriculture
activities. Trash from household activities and trading place with municipal waste is not
hazardous (non-hazardous). Garbage is a part of something that is not used, is not liked or
something that should be removed, which generally comes from activities by humans (including
industry activity, but not biological) (Febry 2009). Based on the physical and chemical
properties can be classified garbage into: 1) there are perishable garbage consists of organic
garbage such as remaining vegetables, meat offal, leaves and others; 2) waste that is not easily
decay such as plastic, paper, rubber, metal, leftover building materials and others; 3) waste like
dust/gray; and 4) hazardous waste (B3) for health, such as garbage come from industry and
hospitals containing chemicals and dangerous disease agents

Purpose
The purpose of our project are:
1. Giving some suggest to society near Balio for separating the organic and anorganic trash.
2. To manage disposal system in Balio.
Disposal give any bad impact and problem to the society and the ecology surrounding Balio. The
bad impact are:

Bad odor.
Land pollution.
Narrowing the road.
Causing disease like diarrhea, hepatitis, and other digestion disease.

After we identify the problem, we can adapt some solution, there are:
1. Relocation the place of trash disposal to the place that far away from society.
2. Government should make schedule routine program to persuade society for cleaning the
environment.
3. Endegenous should be aware the importances of clean environment
After we discuss, according our group relocation is best solution for the problem facing in
Balio, because with good relocation program. We think that all the activities relation to disposal
in that place can be eradicate, and surrounding environment will be safe from pollutant. One way
to make relocation realize by making letter to the RT or RW or maybe an authorities person who
can making decision to relocate the final disposal in Balio.
