3Is 4ps beneficial to the people in your Barangay?
4-Theoretically and uhm practically yes, ah the program of 4ps is to help alleviate or
5reduce the poverty rate in the Philippines well as ah I have seen in my Brgy in a way
6it help primarily because as they give incentive in the monthly allocation to every
7family as long as they comply with the requirements in terms of health, education
8and be a responsible parents and in a way theres a positive, it helps the community
9or in my part when I ask them to help us in certain activity they also extend their
10help.
11Does 4ps helps achive the MDG?
12-uhm, the MDG in terms of health, YES. Why? Because they have to ah comply with
13for example if they have uhm children uh toddlers and infants they need
14immunization they have to comply with those they have to be there I think uhm
15including de worming of the kids is part of the program, what I know is if ever they
16their kids uh did not undergo ah deworming I think they will ah amount a certain
17allowance will be deducted to their monthly allocation and ah in terms of education,
18YES ah because thats part those families with elementary school children they get
19300 php allocation and for high school 500 php so just imagine ah 300 and 500
20pesos ah be a help for them in terms for example food, allowance and fare. Were
21just living near by we have a Victory village elementary school and usually the
22public school is near the brgy and in terms of employment what I know is there was
23a time in the mothers were given trainings on cooking, baking and ah the last time I
24think the company was Apiscious and what I know is what I heard is they would like
25to come up into orgs which they will can offer catering services and cooking
26services that you can now hire them so in terms of employment, YES but not to full
27extent because not everybody ah availed and however and I had a problem also
28since for ex in out brgy there were around 21 who signed up for that training
29however I think only 5 attends the training because uhm first and foremost it was
30done every sat. and I think parents are full time parents they have to attend to the
31needs also of their kids and ah education, Yes. Health and lessen poverty in a way
32Does 4ps helps to improve the lives of the people in your Brgy?
33Yah, as Ive said ah in a way yes what I know is ah they have family development
34session and there is a values formation program and I think it helped them ah I
35enjoyed watching them having the ah FDS since they someone is answering the
36recap on things of what they cast on previous session and I think they are obliged to
37bring with them notebook and take note of the things that being discussed by uhm
38by the speaker and what I know the municipal link or city link have a close
39coordination with me as the punongbrgy ah from to time she ask hows the situation
40of the 4ps beneficiaries in the brgy and Im telling her whatever honesty the output
41or whatever status of our 4ps beneficiaries

42Does the 4ps helps to promote the general welfare and community development of
43the people in your brgy?
44-Uhm, yeah. Uhm, as Ive said with the FDS and whenever I give announcement
45they have to help maintaining the cleanliness in our brgy uh help in the uh what is
46one clean up drive and in a way theyre aware of those especially in Legazpi city
47were stick on waste segregation and they have to be models, uh to be model
48members of the community because thats part of their training and uh thats part
49of the 4ps program of the govt.

51Does the 4ps establish social development and family development?
52-In terms of social development, yes. Because majority are fully aware of their
53responsibility uhm in terms of uhm health conditions of health needs they comply
54ah there is a need for them to be healthy by complying with uh uhm immunization
55programs, deworming etcetcetc and uhm those and in terms of social awareness
56because of the FDS session theyre aware of that.
57Does the 4ps helps to improve the education and free health services of the people
58in your brgy?
59-Well in education, I have a strong ah connection or what do you call this one, uh
60link with Victory village elementary school in particular ah what I use is I ask the
61teachers or principal to give me a copy of the list of the kids who are not coming to
62school regularly who are 4ps beneficiary because that is part of their commitment in
63a way in terms of education yes.
