Establish a developmentally appropriate environment
Having an appropriate establish developmentally environment is important for childrens
visualization. We need to have diverse environments using pictures that are real, not cartoons,
and arent too busy. The room needs to be able to flow, without being distractive. Children see
everything, so, its important to make sure their environment is developmentally appropriate. Our
rooms cant making visual noise for them. If we were to have too much compacted into a room
or used the wrong pictures, many things would be in disarray. Children wouldnt see diversity;
children may get frustrated because there is so much going on. If this happens they cant learn
properly and develop in an anti- biased manner either. Making the classroom inclusive, makes it
a more fitting and accepting environment. Being able to examine and rate our space/classroom
was a great activity. We could see the details and what we can change or take away to use in the
future. A developmentally appropriate environment is vital to childrens development in
diversity, and learning in general.
