Green Peace
Greenpeace definition. An organization devoted to environmental activism,
founded in the United States and Canada in 1971. Greenpeace has employed
passive resistance in opposition to commercial whaling, the dumping of toxic
waste into the sea, and nuclear testing.
YWCA/YMCA
The World Young Women's Christian Association (World YWCA) is a global
movement working for the empowerment, leadership and rights of women, young
women and girls in more than 120 countries.

help to poor countries and disaster areas. An example of Oxfam is a group who
brings food to a starving nation.
International PEN
PEN International (known as International PEN until 2010) is a worldwide
association of writers, founded in London in 1921 to promote friendship and
intellectual co-operation among writers everywhere. The association has
autonomous International PENcenters in over 100 countries.
