Simple Squares Table Runner

Supplies:
Light Fabric: yd (or a strip that is 7 by 28)
Medium Fabric: yd (or 2 strips that are 4 1/2 by 24)
Dark Fabric: yd. (or a strip that is 6 by 33)
Texture Magic yd (or a strip that is 6 by 33)
Batting 12 by 35
Backing 12 by 35
Pin the strip of dark fabric to the strip of Texture Magic, stitch together as desired.
Align one short strip with the long strip right sides together.
Sew with inch seam and press.
Align second short strip on the opposite side and end of the long strip, sew and press.

Starting at one end of unit cut 4 pieces. The first piece will have two squares, the next four will have three
squares and the last piece will have two squares.
Cut two 7 squares and then cut each square diagonally twice. You will have a total of 8 triangles. Lay out as
shown below:

Sew triangles to ends of square units to make rows. Join rows to assemble table runner top.
Layer batting, backing and top (backing and top right sides together). Sew around table runner with seam
leaving a 5 opening. Trim seams and points at end of runner, being careful not to cut through stitching. Turn
right side out, slip stitch opening closed. Quilt as desired. One suggestion for quilting: sew straight lines through
center of each row.
