3.3 Material
1. The material would be obtained from approved source in borrow
cut and natural soil or material obtained by blending two or more soils
or by blending soil and sand.
2. The completed sub-base would contain no aggregate having a
maximum dimension exceeding two thirds of the compacted layer
thickness.

Methodology
4.1 Procedures
8.5.2 Sub-base
150mm thick of Sand Sub-base will be spread, level and compacting
according to approved
JKR Specification details.
8.5.3 Crusher Run Roadbase
The Crusher Run Road base will be spread, level and compacting to 300mm
thick accordingly
with 8 ton roller compactor and to be comply with JKR specification details.
8.5.4 Sand Bedding Layer
Sand bedding layer will be spread, screed and compacted to 20mm thick
before laying Paver Block.
8.5.5 Laying Paver Block
Paving blocks are placed side by side on the sand with gaps of approx.
2mm between adjoining blocks.
8.5.6 Pavement Compaction
Pavement compaction will be use hand-guided plate vibrator until it is
firmly embedded in the sand layer after laying paver block completed.
8.6 Inspection
The contractor will report and join inspection with S.O. once all works done and
examined the site for approval.
9.0 CONSTRUCTION PHASING AND WORKFLOW
The phase on installation works is included in the Master Programmed.
10.0 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AND MONITORING
. will ensure no obstruction to site traffic flow. Logistic
and safety department will monitor closely
11.0 SAFETY PROGRAMME
11.1 Safety Hoarding, Temporary Works and Public Safety
The Logistic Manager shall be responsible for submission of plans and
drawings to the relevant. The Logistic Manager shall provide adequate
signboards at all strategic positions warning the public to keep away from
the work site and erect temporary fencing and barriers where necessary
around the site to prevent unauthorized trespassing during works.
11.2 Personal Safety
Project Manager and safety department shall be responsible to take
necessary measures to ensure that workers are constantly in safe working
condition.
12.0 ENVIRONMENT MONITORING PROGRAMMES
Site hazard and debris shall be controlled by . and monitoring by
JKR consultant accordance to Environment Management Plan.
13.0 REFERENCE
All reference will refer to JKRs contract and Approved drawing specification
details.
