In France, the currency is called Euros. Euros come in notes and in coins and are used in many
different European countries. Before 1999, French currency was called Francs and you might
still see francs mentioned in older textbooks and films.
Each Euro is worth 100 cents, sometimes called Euro cents. The coins come in 2, 1, 50c,
20c, 10c, 5c, 2c, and 1c denominations.
Euro banknotes come in denominations of 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5.
