All of the United States remembers and honors Martin Luther King Jr. for his successful
African-American civil rights movement. However, most of society neglects the fact that most of
the people living during his time hated him. He disturbed the calm lives of his society. Most
modern civilians agree on the evil of racism. However, King massively disrupted the current
society. Protesters, overcrowding the street, often annoyed other people and forced brutality out
of law enforcement. Many people left Kings regime, according to Chauncey DeVega, Even his
civil rights compatriots, his supposed brothers in arms, deserted him (DeVega 1). Along with
this, records show King additionally criticized the white race and desired his race switched
places with the white race. Not only did he actively protest civil rights, King also protested war.
King led many protests which became annoying to society, even his supporters. Overall, King
protested all the controversial topics in his time and angered the society of his time.
