CLASS 1 VISITS TO SKIPTON ON MONDAY 17TH OCTOBER AND
YORKSHIRE WILDLIFE PARK THURSDAY 20TH OCTOBER 2016
As part of our work on British Cities and Journeys, Class 1 will visit Skipton in North Yorkshire on
Monday 17th October 2016. The children will visit Skipton Castle, the library and admire buildings and
the local environment. The children will leave school at 9.30 am and arrive back at school for
approximately 4.30 pm. For this visit the children will travel by bus and train therefore these times
are approximate and you will be informed of any changes by text.
We are also visiting The Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Thursday 20 th October the coach will leave school
at 9.00am (Please ensure your child arrives on time) and they will return to school by approximately
4.00pm (depending on traffic!).
All children will be provided with a packed lunch for both visits.
The total cost for both visits is 25.00 per child which includes the entrance fees, bus fares, train
fares, coach, and insurance. This will be subsidised by the school and we will pay 15.00, but we do
have to ask for a voluntary contribution of 10.00 towards the cost of both visits. If insufficient
contributions are received we may have to cancel the trip.
The coach will leave school at 9.00am (Please ensure your child arrives on time) and they will return to
school by approximately 3.00 pm (depending on traffic!). All children will be provided with a packed
lunch.
Your child will need to wear their Fagley Primary school sweatshirt but can wear jogging/tracksuit
bottoms. Can I also ask you to make sure your child has suitable outdoor clothing, in case of bad
weather and sensible footwear as they will be working outside?
There are also places available for parents to come along and help, please ask the teacher for
more information.
As part of our safety policy we need to make sure we have an up to date telephone number for
each child before we go on any trips (If this is a new number please tick below so we can update
our records). Can you please complete the form below and return to school as soon as possible?
