2020. Our whole school target is 96%, Reception 89%
let’s work hard to achieve it!

We are incredibly impressed with
attendance so far this year in these very Class 2 92%

Attendance is a safeguarding matter and school
have a duty of care to see children are safely in Class 5 98%
school each day.

Attendance Incentives 2020 to 2021

Weekly - if the whole school achieves 96% or


above for the week, every child with 100% for that
week will be placed into a draw. The prize will be a
choice of a £10 WHSmith voucher or 5 books from
the school Book Shop (worth £25).
Half Termly (whole school) - every child who has
100% attendance for the whole half term will be
placed into a draw to win a £100 Halfords voucher
to purchase a new bike.
Class Rewards - the class with the highest
attendance for 6 weeks will receive a special class
treat. Past rewards have included a trip to the farm
and the cinema.
Whole Year - pupils with 96% - 100% will be
treated to an ice cream from the ice cream man and
will receive a certificate.

The winners of our weekly prize draw are:

Poppy, Class 3 for week commencing 7th September


Ava, Class 6 for week commencing 14th September
Ashir, Class 1 for week commencing 21st September

 If your child is absent from school we will send a text message in the first instance
asking you to contact school with a reason for your child’s absence.
 If we do not receive a reason for your child’s absence we will contact you by telephone.
 If your child is absent due to an illness for more than 3 days we will require a note
from your doctor.

We now have our new Email2Parents system up and running so you may
from time to time receive emails from us (newsletters, homework etc).
You can still request a paper copy from the office. If you change your
email address please let someone in the office know.

Thank you for your co-operation in this important matter. We will update you on attendance
every three to four weeks.
