Nature Connectedness

Outdoor Learning

We are supporting a research project on nature

connectedness with a student from the University
of Derby. As you will know, outdoor learning is high
on our agenda this year and this study may help us to
develop our provision further. As many of our
children love the outdoors and nature, I hope you
will give your consent for them to take part in this
anonymous survey which will be delivered in school
by our own staff. Please complete the consent form
that your child brought home today. Thank you.

All classes will experience outdoor learning this

term. Some of this will be provided by a specialist
Forest Schools teacher, Mrs Macleod. Provisional
dates for this are as follows:

Leadership
Many of our pupils in Years 3-6 achieved their
leadership badges last year. They should be rightly
proud of their achievement which shows they are
developing good leadership skills. Please help your
child to celebrate their achievement by digging out
their badges and reminding them to wear these on
their jumpers/cardigans every day. I have a few
spare badges if theirs has got damaged in the
washing machine! Thank you.

Half Term Holiday Club

Discovery Vine are holding a holiday club during
February Half Term from 16th to 20th February. The
cost is 18.00 per day or 75.00 for the full week.
