School Organizational Team Nominations Under Way

Families,

Each year the School Organizational Team (SOT) for our school has to be re-elected. The SOT is comprised of teachers,
support staff, and parents which assists with school decision making, budgets, school performance plan, and other entities in
collaboration with the administration all relating to the Reorganization of CCSD. Members of the SOT attend trainings offered
through CCSD, meet monthly after school hours, complete duties as needed for the school with the administration, and
address the public concerns/suggestions relating to the school at each meeting. The first SOT which began in January of last
school year has graciously agreed to continue for the remaining of this year as nominees. This year would be a commitment
of the team from October 2018 through September 2019 (including summer months).

If you would like to be nominated for the SOT election ballot to be held at the September PTA meeting. Please submit
your name through email to imbodtr@nv.ccsd.net by Friday, September 7th to be added the ballot.

No left turns out of the front parking lot during drop-off and dismissal times!

Infinite Campus: Parents, teachers are putting grades into Infinite Campus now. Please make sure you’ve put the app on your
mobile device and your computer access works. Ms. Penney in the front office can assist you if you’re having issues with the
account. *Remember with the apps, you need to “refresh” the data for it to currently upload. Teachers is grades 1-5 put 2
grades per week in Reading/Language/Math and Science/Health/Social Studies and Specialists enter grades as the units of
study are completed. You can get more detailed information from the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus on the CCSD website.

PTA News: Please join our PTA! It’s an important organization and helps be the voice for your child at the
state level. It is our goal that every family will join our PTA (Parent Teacher Association). This organization is a
vital asset to our school, as they provide community events, service projects for our students, and funds to support
our educational goals. Membership is only $5.00 and your voice as an advocate for your child’s education is a
powerful one at the state legislature. Please join us for our first meeting of the year, Tuesday 9/11 at 6 pm in the school
library. Children are always welcome to attend.

Parent Student Handbook (final posting): Parents, please refer to the Parent-Student Handbook you received from
your student on the first day of school and found on our Cox website. It provides you with a lot of information regarding our
school. In fact a number of questions we routinely get are found in the handbook. *We do offer “Snack Shack Passes” in lieu
of bringing “birthday treats” to your child’s class. Passes can be purchased in the front office.

Picture Day is HERE: Tomorrow the 5th is our Fall Picture Day! Picture order forms came home last week. We can
always use some parent helpers that day too!
