I am saddened by how people treat one another and how we are so shut off from
one another and how we judge one another, when the truth is, we are all one
connected thing. We are all from the same exact molecules.Ellen DeGeneres

The matter to be resolve in this paper is what did I learn from this course, Sem 1 under
the wise Dom Pedro. I took my undergraduate program in San Beda College ManilaI already
knew what was in store for me and my fellow law students under this course because unlike
others school, Ive undergone eight theology classesblessed. Ill be frank, those subjects were
lackluster. Not what we are learning but how the course was being taught and delivered to us,
with the exception of course with Dom Martin. Upon having a grasp on what to expect for this
Sem 1, Ive already judged without giving it a second thoughtfrankly thinking another hour
the shouldve been devoted to reading, eating and/or sleeping. I was wrong. I am not even a
member of the bench to judge subjects.
In elementary and until now in my post graduate studies, Ive always been reminded not
just my family and friends but also by society itself to not judge people, things and applicable to
this paper, the subject Sem 1. Clich streams in that theres more to a person than meets the eye.
True enough. Not a new lesson that Sem 1 taught me but this subject is another refreshing
reminder in law school and life, do not judge. Ive judge the course based on my past
experiences with theology professors. I for one enjoyed it. Albeit it felt dull at first but it became
clear that this subject would be a breather to the toxic walk in the park, Jurassic Park, law school
life. Without this particular subjects I wouldnt have known that parables of Jesus and the books
of the old and the new testament. And of course, I wouldnt have met a Dom who is willing
enough to devote his valuable time to chat you on messenger. To me on how am I doing or
reminding me to study. Thank you Dom!
