PDPP has six mandatory core modules (three of these modules are common with certificate

course CPPP). These cover:

Introduction to Procurement and Public procurement (including Management Concepts and

Techniques);

2.

Public Procurement Framework in India (including legal aspects of Public Procurement);

3.

Categories and Methods of Procurement;

4.

Public Procurement Operations (including Procurement Planning, Bid Operations from

preparation to Evaluation and award of Contract);

5.

Contract Management and Closure (including Receipt and Accounting of materials and
payment of suppliers' bills); and

6.

Public Procurement and Good Governance.

In addition, the participants of PDPP will have to choose any two from the five optional
modules:

International Practices in Public procurement (including Importing Goods into India);

8.

Public Procurement of Civil Works;

9.

Public Procurement of Services;

10. Logistics in Public procurement (including Disposal of Scrap); and

11. E-Procurement.
