Behavioral Reinforcements

Positive Reinforcements
Tangible:
These reinforcers are given to provide a visual so all students are able to
see, touch, and hold what they earned.
A student will receive stickers when they are exhibiting desired
behaviors such as raising their hand and answering correctly.
Students can also receive a sticker when they are demonstrating
YES rules and GIVE ME FIVE on the carpet.
Students and the Whole class can receive DOJO points when they
are demonstrating desired behaviors of bring on task, participating
during classroom instruction, and are helpful to fellow classmates.

Social:
When a student is demonstrating a desired behavior, a verbal
praise will be given in front of the whole class that will
communicate and reiterate those classroom expectations
When students have perfect attendance throughout the semester (0
absences), students will be given the opportunity to have lunch
with the Principal.
Activity:
When a student has earned a certain amount of DOJO points, they
will be able to redeem their points for prizes such as:
Extra time on the chromebook
Extra Recess

Classroom Discipline
When their is misbehavior or misconduct in the classroom, the following
procedures will be implemented to cease this type of behavior:
(ALL Policies are derived from our School District)
1. Class remindera. If one or two students is not meeting classroom expectations,
a general warning will be given to modify the behavior
without calling out specific students
2. Individual remindera. If those same students are misbehaving, the teacher will pull
the students aside and to prevent this type of behavior from
continuing
3. Modificationa. Students will be removed from the location to help re engage
and focus on classroom instruction
4. Demerita. Students will lose a DOJO point for either being off task,
disrespectful, or not following directions.
5. Parent Contacta. If this type of behavior continues, parents and/or guardians
will be notified.
6. Office Referrala. Students will be sent to administration where a behavioral
modification plan is implemented and other consequences
will discussed if this type of behavior continues.
