PowerConnect User Manual

Information for first-time users

This user manual consists of 3 separate parts. In the first part, the novice
user will be made familiar with PowerConnects capabilities and procedures,
in the shortest possible time frame. Different types of connections are
presented in more detail within the scope of this Getting Started manual.
In the second part, all PowerConnect functions will be discussed in detail.
This part will thus provide an answer to a wide range of questions that may
occur during the use of the software program.
In the third part, the analysis methods used by PowerConnect are
documented such that the user has an understanding of the underlying
technologies and algorithms. This information is particularly interesting in
view of a correct interpretation of analysis results.
Reading software manuals may be a somewhat boring task from time to time.
Nevertheless, new PowerConnect users are strongly encouraged to go
through the manuals carefully. PowerConnect is indeed a highly technical
software program which is based on fairly complex analysis methods. To
ensure a proper and correct interpretation of the analysis results, it is
essential that the user be familiar with PowerConnect analysis methods and
related hypotheses.
