Starter: What does P.E.E. stand for? Why do we write in P.E.E. paragraphs?

Main Activity #1: Read the three different sections and put them into the correct
P.E.E. order.
Main Activity #2: Read three P.E.E. paragraphs and highlight in different colours.
Main Activity #3: Read the text and answer the question, using a P.E.E.
paragraph.

Intervention #2 Language Techniques
Starter: Pair the language techniques with their meaning.
Main Activity #1: Go through the wrong answers (if any) and introduce the cue
cards.
Main Activity #2: Read the text and identify the simile, metaphor,
personification, alliteration and onomatopoeia.
Main Activity #3: Worksheets on language techniques.
Plenary: Repeat the starter. (How much improvement has been made.)
