Formation of our solar system

It all began
about 4.6
billlion
years ago in
a wispy
cloud of gas
and dust

When
enough
material
collected at
this disk's
center our
sun was
born. It
consumed
up 99.8% of
all the
material.

This
resulted in
a flat
spinning
disk of dust
and gas.

Part of this
clud
collapsed in
on itselfpossibly
because of
a
shockwave
of a nearby
supernova
explosion.
Causing it
to
compress.

Nuclear
fusion
occurs
when
hydrogen
atoms fuse
into helium.

These
clumps
became
planets,
dwarf
planets,
ateroids,
comets, and
moons.

The
material left
behind by
the sun
clumped
together
into bigger
and bigger
pieces.

Comets and
asteroids
are left over
remains of
the solar
systems
formation

Only rocky
things could
survive
close to the
sun, so
gaseous
and icy
material
collected
further
away. This
is how our
solar sytem
came to in
the place it
is today.
