In todays mini lecture, my team only presented three parts of the whole lesson---the
presentation, the practice and the production. We skipped the warm-up and the wrapup part. In the warm-up part, we plan to welcome the whole class first and then to ask

them questions like How many of you drink coffee today?. In order to introduces
the topic and to activate their background knowledge. Then we will show Ss a video
about a man who is ordering drinks in the coffee shop. After they listening to this
conversation, we will give them some questions to discuss in pairs. (The questions
are:Where is this conversation taken place? And What were mentioned in this
conversation?) Finally T will ask two Ss to give their answers to the whole class and
play the video one more time for them to check their answers. And if I got another
chance to do the lesson again, I would changed the modeling part in practice into an
activity. Because in todays lesson we model so many times, I think students may feel
bored. The activity is a simple one. The first student I point at would start to say the
first sentence in the board, which is hello, how can I help you. Then I point at
another student randomly, and the students would need to read the second sentence on
board. The I point to the third student. I would choose 10 students to get involved in
this game. By doing this activity, students would need to focus on the sentence that is
just been said. This is a good way to help them to be familiar with the new phrase and
also grasp their attention.
From todays lesson deliver, I learn that as a teacher, I should give clear instructions
about activities he/she conducts. In some of the lessons today I didnt understand the
instructions that I were given. Therefore,I didnt know what the teachers wanted me to
do. If this was a real situation and students cant understand the activity, they would
not cooperate with teachers. Thus, we as teachers had better make our instructions
clear and concise. And for myself , I should be more confidence about myself when I
was in front of the whole class. Because in todays mini-lecture, I could feel my hands
were shaking while I was doing the presentation. I think it is because I was afraid of
making mistakes. Now as a student, I should practice more before I come up to the

board so that I will feel more confident about myself. And only I am confidence about
myself, the students will believe what I say and do what I ask them to do in class.
