What can be said about Jacob Michael Rosuck? Well the first thing is that he
prefers to go by the name of Jake instead of Jacob. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, this
twenty-one year old jersey boy is one unique individual; he is athletic, smart, funny and
the word he chose that bests describes him would be goofy. Jakes father, Andrew
Rosuck states that even from a young age we knew Jake would be a goofy kid, I think
we first noticed this when we saw him banging his head on the ground as a toddler during
his temper tantrums (true story). So how did this head banging, cute kid become the
person you see before you?
Growing up in south Florida, just outside of Ft. Lauderdale, Jake was never a big
fan of Florida. His heart truly lies in the north, specifically the northeast where the rest of
his family lives. The Rosucks have long been northerners and the cold runs in their blood,
there is just something about the cold that I really love, it calls to me says Jake.
Unfortunately for Jake, it cant be winter all year long so when the sun is out and the
weather is hot, you can find him sleeping on the beach or hanging ten out in the waves. If
living in Florida had any benefits, Jake would say that it made him an outdoorsy
person; he played Golf, would go fishing, surfing, and other sports as well.
At a young age, Jake knew he loved sports, he was always either outside playing
with his friends or inside on Sundays watching football in his favorite chair. His two
favorite sports are Football and Basketball, but he loves all sports and always wants to go
out and play. This lifetime of being a sports fanatic has led Jake to Florida State
University, where he is currently a senior and an Editing, Writing and Media major with
a minor in Communications. According to Jake, Having prior experiences working for
Public Relations and Advertising agencies, I thought why not do this for a team or the
sport. I always wanted to work for a professional sports team so I began researching all
the different marketing jobs, journalism jobs, any type of job that I could do for a pro
team. When asked what his dream job would be and for what team, Jake said being the
head of PR or a high ranking executive for the New York Jets would be a dream come
true.
Besides physical activities, Jake loves watching movies and television; he is a diehard fan of Star Wars and Batman as well as Game of Thrones and How I Met Your
Mother. I always found it pretty funny that I am drawn to all of these nerdy franchises,
but I grew up watching Batman: the animated series as a kid and the first ever movie I
saw was Star Wars. Overall, Jake Rosuck is a very well rounded fellow who enjoys
what he likes and isnt afraid to show it, as one of his favorite TV characters said never
forget who you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, it can never be used
to hurt you.
