Initiating a conversation on what stresses students out.
Students are reflecting on what stresses
them out.
Teacher records students responses on the board (in columns). How will you teach the lesson concepts and/or skills?
Choose one word
from each column and create an example on the board. Subject/Who verb /action noun/ thing. Noun/ thing verb/ action subject/ who out, because Why. Teacher is walking around observing student work.
How will you help your
students to draw conclusions, apply, and/or self-assess on the lesson concepts and/or skills?
I will walk around
and help the students create sentences.
Students are listening to the example and
writing it down as a reference. I want the students to create sentences, so I will have paint chips (like the samples from Lowes) and we will write words on them. Red will be the subject, blue the verb/ action, and green the what. They can work in groups to pair sentence parts.
Students will be moving the tiles together
and creating sentences. Students will choose a few sentences and write them down on a note card, so that I can check for understanding. Students can work in groups to build sentences and add prepositions.
