Letter to Disney
To whom it may concern:
I think Disney should stop using sweatshops and
child labor over seas. It is wrong. Just because it is
illegal here in the U.S.A does not mean it is right to
do it in other places and because you are being
selfish paying workers in sweatshops 17 cents an
hour. Also you need to pay more. You need to provide
better working conditions and housing conditions.
I know that Disneys CEO Michael Eisner gets paid
102,000 dollars an hour while the workers in sweat
shops get paid 17 cents an hour if paid at all. I also
know that 200 women had to be hospitalized
because they were exposed to toxic material
because Disney did not give them protection. I also
know that Disney does this in Haiti, Asia, China, and
Vietnam. I know that housing is a shack with no
running water and no air conditioning and that it is
15-20 dollars a month for a shack.
That is why I think Disney should stop using
sweatshops and child labor over seas! To improve
this Disney could stop being so cheap. They could
raise pay. Altogether they could improve in many
ways.
Sincerely,
Noah Ray Miler
