Students will be able to create a diagram using Kidspiration to show

the facts and myths regarding cardio exercise and strength training
exercise.
This lesson will help students know whats true and whats false

regarding exercise.
This lesson will help motivate students to be more physically active
and to help make the right decisions when exercising.

Preparation/
Materials

Students will get into a group of two and use the application

Kidspiration to create a diagram displaying information they find on


the Internet regarding the facts and myths of cardio exercise and
strength training exercise and explain why the myths arent true.
Students will use the internet to find information on exercise.
Students will add pictures to their diagram.
Students will present their Kidspiration project to the class.

Computer with access to the Internet and Kidspiration.


Health Textbook

Procedure/Lesson

1. Start class by discussing exercise and some of the things people say
about it and the assignment they will complete in groups.
2. Explain the criteria for the assignment and let the students know
how they will be graded.
3. Have students get into groups of two and have each group sit at a
computer and log on to Kidspiration and show them how to use it.
4. Allow students to use the Internet as well as their books to find
information about the facts and myths of cardio and strength
training exercise in order to create their diagram.
5. Have each group come up one at a time to show and discuss their
Kidspiration presentation.
6. Grade students based on the criteria given.

Assessment

Class Discussion: Students will overview everything theyve learned and


how to apply it to their lives. Students will be assessed according to the
rubric.
