Self-Reflection

Weaver Academy 2015 Fall Dance Concert was an amazing experience that I would not
trade for the world, although there would be things I would fix for next time. Both shows,
Thursday and Friday, I was very strong in my turns, pointing my feet and my turning jumps
looked nice. On Thursday, I had quite a few weaknesses. For example, timing, flexibility, arms,
my head and my plie. I noticed I tend to try to look at people to get on the right timing. Friday,
some of my weaknesses were that I did not have very strong clarity of movement, my arms
(again) and my head. It was not as bad with my plie though, and my timing was better. (Yay!)

The audience on Thursday was smaller, so it was not as loud. They were still an active
crowd, but Friday was a really fun crowd. I felt like they really enjoyed the pieces and it seemed
like they wanted more. We also almost got a standing ovation (key word, ALMOST). Both
crowds were great, but I personally liked Friday better.

Overall I feel like I did better in Friday nights show, I feel like my emotion, jumps, and
overall technique were stronger. The audience was louder, more into it, and just seemed to enjoy
it more. Although my peers might disagree, I feel like our group as a whole was more together,
had more technique, and had more fun with it on Friday. I am so grateful to be blessed with this
experience and cannot wait for the next season.
