About the Event:


Brand wars are a common thing in todays marketing industry
and numerous advertisement campaigns have been designed
around raising a question around the legitimacy of the market
leader. Often such campaigns find themselves at loggerheads
with the regulatory agencies which feel that such bashing is not
within the legal realms. Here at Olympus, you have been tasked
to design a viral advertisement campaign for your product.
You will be given a new product and you are expected to design
a campaign to launch the product which is competing with a
major brand. The competitor has had a successful campaign
which has led it to nearly wipe out the entire competition and
capture the market. You have to defeat the competitor at its own
ground by ambushing their advertisement strategy.
You can use any existing product which matches description as
base and launch a substitute or a competitor product and do
anything under the sun to convince people that your product is
better.
Time Duration: 8 mins (+3 mins for questions)
Evaluation Criterion:
1. Originality of idea
2. Effectiveness and reach of campaign
3. Effectiveness in countering the competitor

4. Quality of Product chosen


Problem Statement
A mobile company ABC has launched its 4g services in India claiming it to be the
fastest. You now have to design a launch strategy and ad campaign for your services
launch ambushing all marketing efforts by ABC.
