Summary of LO01
Tide generating force are based on the Earth-Moon System and Earth-Sun System. The Earth-Moon
System produce a tide generating force from the resultant of moon gravity and earth centrifugal
force. The earth gravity only served as a counter-force for moon gravity to make a centre of gravity
between them. This centre of gravity not located exactly at the centre of the earth but 4700km from
the earth centre towards the moon instead. However the earth gravity is a much bigger force than
tide generating force from the Earth-Moon System because these 2 forces work against each other
vertically. Horizontally,we have a force called tractive force works unopposed by the vertical forces
(earth gravity and tide generating force) and make the water moves.
Those tide generating force which only based from earth own gravity with centrifugal force and
space object gravity and no other aspect considered is Static or Equilibrium theory. Dynamic theory
include more complex parameter to be considered such as shallow water, age of the tide (a lagging
phenomena between full moon and the occurences of highest tide), the presence of land masses, and
coriolis forces.

Summary of LO02
There are 3 types of tide. These types are Diurnal,Semidiurnal,and Mixed Tide.

Diurnal tide cycle happen every 24 hour. It has 1 high tide and 1 low tide
Semidiurnal tide cycle happen every 12 hour. It has 1 high tide and 1 low tide. But in 24
hours it will have 2 high tide and 2 low tide
Mixed tide cycle happen every 24 hour. It has 2 high tide and 2 low tide with difference
mark. And has properties of a mixture of diurnal and semidiurnal tide
