BA-56
Applications

BA-56 is the gas migration control member of the FL Hybrids family. By maintaining low fluid loss, limiting free
water and providing excellent solids support, BA-56 effectively controls annular gas migration. it is a blend of
water-soluble poymers and is functional at temperatures ranging from 100 to 250F (38 to 115C). BA-56 is
compatible with most cements and additives.

Features
Anti-Gas Properties
Surfactant and bonding agent components have strong wetting and filming tendencies which provide resistance
to the flow of hydrocarbons. This effect minimizes the susceptibility fo th slurry to fluid flow while the cement is in
its plastic state.
Excellent Fluid Loss Control
Good fluid loss control is, in most cases, a prerequisite for controlling annular gas. BA-56 provides excellent fluid
loss control with values of less than 30 cc's/30 min easily achieved.
Compatibility
Compatible with API, Pozzolan and Lightweight cements, as wella s most cementing additives.
Slurry Stability
Provides excellent free-water control combined with outstanding solids support.
