FP-6L
Applications

FP-6L is a clear liquid surfactant that decreases the foaming in some cement slurries during mixing. It also is
very effective in preventing foam when cement additives are blended into the mixing water. FP-6L has a specific
gravity of 0.97 and can be used in a broad range of slurry designs and density directly to the mixing water or used
as a spray in the tub.

Features
Improves Density Control
Prevents excessive entrained air in the slurry, thus providing better density control.
Compatibility
Compatible with all API cements and most BJ cement additives.
Easily Mixed
May be added directly to the mixing water or used as a spray.

Benefits
Does not affect thickening time or compressive strength development.
Normally used in concentrations of 0.5 gals/bbl (11.9 l/m3) mixing water.
Very effective in controlling slurry air entrainment and reducing surface foam, thus enhancing accurate slurry
measurements.

Safety Precautions
Mechanical ventilation is recommended when using this material in a confined space. Use rubber or neoprene
gloves, goggles for eye protection and have eye rinsing equipment available.

Limitations
Not very effective with liquid latex (BA-86L) or some fly ash cements (FAC). Thickens low density FAC, i.e., 40:60:8
+ A-S.

Competitive Products
D-AIR2, D-47 and AFL.
