Disney and Social Relevance

Key Themes/Issues
Social impact and relevance of Disney films regarding topical issues of the time,
(modern day and past) with a focus on mental health and child development.

Chapter 3 case study


Inside Out being used as a teaching/learning aid with children to help
them deal with strong emotions.
Zootropolis and the relevance of it to modern day society tackling
prejudices, racism and sexism.

Looking at the content of the films themselves, as well as social reception surrounding the films.
